Socket host open house, ribbon cutting at new corporate headquarters

Columbia, Mo. - Socket will unveil its new corporate headquarters with an open house and ribbon cutting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, at 2307 Clark Lane in Columbia.

The event will give the public its first look inside Socket's state-of-the-art facility since it moved from its old locations on Cherry Street in Columbia's District. The evening will feature a brief program including a welcome by Socket owners and Columbia Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, which will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The event is a chance for Socket to thank its customers, friends and the Columbia community. Guests will be treated to a live band, free food and drink and a chance to win $110 dollars in honor of Socket's "110% happiness guaranteed" pledge. In keeping with the event's theme, "Socket Gives Thanks," guests are also encouraged to bring canned goods for a food drive benefiting the Central Missouri Food Bank. Tours of the new facility, including the central network operations data center, the co-location room and the call center, where customers receive invaluable technical support, will also be provided during the evening.

"Socket's new corporate headquarters brings all Socket employees under one state-of-the-art roof," says Dave Sill, facilities manager. "We're excited that we are able to provide an even more stable environment for our Missouri data center and more amenities for our personnel."

The need for a new headquarters grew out of the Socket's expansion. Significant growth of its local and long distance business telecommunication services, Internet services, and data services resulted in the need for both more employees and more space.
